The Rutherglen & District Garden Club has dedicated a seat to our late Life Member Mary overlooking Lake King.

It is a most fitting tribute to Mary who loved gardening, opening her garden to the public with the help of husband David & family, crafting and creating the most imaginative floral displays for the Rutherglen Agricultural show and the Rutherglen Flower Show where she won many first prizes.

Her energy extended to supporting the Rutherglen Hockey Club and being office manager at Rutherglen Primary School.

Her tireless work for the community was recognized when she was named Citizen of the Year for Indigo Shire.

The Rutherglen and District Club misses Mary’s enthusiasm, energy and ability to get things done.
